Lake Country is situated in the Central Okanagan, midway between Vernon and Kelowna on Hwy 97. The community is only a ten-minute drive from the Kelowna International Airport.

here’s more to life in Lake Country than meets the eye – it is minutes from the bigger centres


of Kelowna and Vernon yet miles from the ordinary. This seldom recognized Okanagan region is blessed with expansive lakeshore, unique neighbourhoods and an ideal location for “The Okanagan Way”. This is the official slogan that begs to be defined; yet it means something different to everybody. To me, a life-long resident of the Okanagan, the phrase “The Okanagan Way” means being an ambassador for a lifestyle that is active, friendly and helpful.


With a population aged 43 on average, it is no wonder Lake Country is becoming a Mecca for active families. Visitors, many of whom become property owners, are able to enjoy the qualities of a clean rural community with big city opportunities. From my hobby farm in Lake Country it is 5 minutes to town, 30 minutes to the larger cities and 60 minutes to two world- class ski resorts. I am able to blend creative work-life with invigorating playtime.


This is the Okanagan Way.
