CentrePiece is a family-oriented celebration that takes place at the Lake Country Museum in Okanagan Centre Park in late August each year. There is a picnic atmosphere with children’s games, demonstrations, live music, hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and the annual tea with scones topped with fruit and cream. Everyone is welcome.

Lake Country ArtWalk, the largest of its kind in the BC interior, showcases original works of art and live performances created by visual and performing artists living in the Okanagan Valley. More than 300 artists of all media are exhibiting over 3000 original works of art. The event plays host to over 7000 visitors. Held in early September at the Lake Country Community Complex. Admission is only $2.

Oyama Fun Days is the highlight event in the Oyama area, officially named “Jewel of the Okanagan” held on Sunday June 3rd
, 2012. The event starts with a parade and pancake breakfast. The afternoon kicks off with Children’s Field Games, Children’s Pavilion, Fireman’s Burger Burn, Lake Country Big Band, a Farmer’s Market, and many more activities.
Strawberry Tea at Kopje Park in the Carr’s Landing area is having its 100th
Anniversary on June 24th . Tours of
the heritage home known as Gibson House are ongoing throughout the summer months.
Canada Day Celebrations are held at Beasley Park on July 1st
. The event is sponsored by 3 service clubs and kicks off with a pancake breakfast. A performance from the Lake Country Big Band is always enjoyed by all.
