Enhancing performance
Stepper motors from Astrosyn International Technology, according to the company, can be supplied in stainless steel casings where operation in splashproof or dustproof environments is required. A full range of sizes and lengths are available, with NEMA frame sizes from 11 to 42. Astrosyn say that the encapsulation ensures the motors are suitable for washdown conditions encountered in food
Embossed effect print
M&H Plastics has created an innovative new decorative effect by featuring a high-build varnish printed directly onto the product resulting in a distinctive tactile texture. The high-build varnish gives a gloss embossed effect which contrasts with the co-ex soft touch matt finish of the HDPE bottle. This is a cost-effective alternative to embossing and adds a premium feel to the product. M&H has one of the most comprehensive in-house decoration facilities encompassing silk screen printing, hot foil blocking, tampo pad printing, shrink sleeving and labelling. RUGGED YET SENSITIVE
The W9-3 photoelectric proximity sensor from SICK (UK) is, according to the company, designed for optimum detection capability in the harshest industrial environments. As well as an 800mm maximum range, and what SICK (UK) is calling “the best possible background suppression”, the rugged and compact Vistal™
housing is also designed for
maximum mounting versatility for production operations. Also, the sensor reportedly combines SICK’s unique PinPoint LED sender with high reliability electronics (which includes the latest technology), with a second LED emitter to ensure the best possible background suppression. and drink and pharmaceutical applications. Their corrosion resistance also reportedly makes them useful for harsh, aggressive environments. When sealed using an electrically conductive adhesive, the casing reduces electromagnetic interference, making the motors applicable in defence and other EMC sensitive applications.
