Foodex, with it’s new features, co-located shows and impressive speaker line-up, expects its biggest attendance this year

Returning to the NEC after its two-year break, Foodex is back. Rebecca Hubbard looks ahead to this exciting event
Returning to the NEC in Birmingham this year from the 25th to the 27th of March is Foodex, one of the UK’s only shows for packaging, processing and logistics.

oasting individual areas for nearly every aspect of the food supply chain,
expecting over 350 exhibitors who will between them be showing over 150 new products. Away from the floor, the show
boasts an impressive array of speakers, including master baker Paul Hollywood, Mike Wilson of the British Automation and Robotics Association (BARA), Chris Sturman of the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and David Grant, director of the Logistics Institute at Hull University Business School.

with the National Convenience Show and Food & Drink Expo, which in itself features Farm Shop & Deli. To find out more about what
Foodex has to offer, I spoke to Daren Rose-Neale, event director at organisers William Reed Business Media. “Foodex is a hive of activity and has been developed to address the needs of those operating in the food and drink arena, whether they be primary producer, manufacturer,
supplier, packaging supplier or retailer,” says Daren. “It offers visitors a time-efficient way to speak to a wide variety of exhibitors and view the latest technology, innovation and new products from across the industry. There is also the programme of master classes, seminars and networking opportunities that runs alongside the exhibiton, which aims to inspire and educate.” When asked about some of the highlights from the last
