Costa Blanca Business Association presents a donation to MABS Cancer Support Group.
The Costa Blanca Business Association (
www.cbba.es) is a group of established businesses on the Northern Costa Blanca. The members represent a variety of services and trades and all work hard to ensure they offer excellent products, customer service and value for money.
As well as providing reliable services and promoting each other’s businesses, they also hold events throughout the year to raise money for local charities. In 2011, one of their sponsored charities was MABS Cancer Support Group (
www.mabscancersupport.org) Over the year, CBBA members raised over 3000€ through events such as the Race for Life, a charity rastro, and a Halloween Ball. 2500€ was used to purchase a lymph control laser machine for use in the MABS Sol Park centre in Moraira. The remaining 500€ was handed over to MABS President, Mrs Jacqui Phillips MBE at the CBBA members´ meeting on 22nd February. Mrs Phillips gave an insight into the work done by MABS, and thanked the members for their ongoing support. CBBA’s Treasurer Fiona Hulme said “Our members provide all types of business and professional services to residents of the Costa Blanca, and we like to give something back to the community through our fundraising efforts. We are delighted that our charitable activities have been able to help MABS”.
