The Kings Church supporting families in Moldova.
The Kings Church in Benissa had a special offering on Sunday in aid of The Family Fund Moldova.
This fund has been in operation for 3 years and has helped many disadvantaged families and children, in the last few weeks a little 3 year old boy was able to undergo heart surgery paid for by the fund.
Mr Tom Shortland was presented with 625€ by Pastor Michael Adams.
This amount has al- ready been deposited in The Family Fund to supply firewood to families enduring up to minus 20deg temperatures.
Disney concert raises 600€ for Samaritans
Local charity ‘The Samaritans’ and leading Costa choir ‘Melody Makers International’ are pleased to announce that the sum of 600€ was raised on the occasion of the concerts, ‘An Evening with Disney’ held on 28th January at the Orihuela Costa Resort Hotel at La Zenia.
The concerts, featuring both Melody Makers I n t e r n a t i o n a l a n d the children’s choir, ‘Cant emos ! ’ we r e a fantastic success, according to the standing ovations given by the 800 people who attended, and the money was raised by means of both a bucket collection and a donation by Nigel Hopkins on behalf of his two choirs.
Both choirs have now started work on their next major production ‘The Magic of the Musicals’ to be performed on 30th June.
