The 108th Annual Florida State Fair opened with great

fan-fare as the Commissioner of Agriculture, State Attorney General, and Florida’s CFO accompanied by FFA students flipped the switch to start the Fair. Following that it was everyone down the Giant Slide for the Florida Cabinet. With beautiful weather, Friday, February 10th was a re-

cord breaking day as over 78,000 people attended the Fair. Cooler weather over the weekend did slow attendance a bit but plenty of fairgoers came out to enjoy the “Best Time of the Year.” There were lots of new foods, entertainment and attrac-

tion for guests to enjoy. A huge variety of bacon cheese burgers topped with almost everything imaginable, includ- ing macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and even pea- nut butter. Deep fried bubblegum, cool aid and other items finished out guest’s meals. New in the Sweetbay Entertainment Hall was the Ex-
