Each painting offers a glimpse of complex emotions, sometimes shot through with the purest simplicity of composition – the hint of a movement, or a carefully relaxed pose. Yet they always demand that the viewer forms their own interpretation of the before and the after: creating their own story that synchronises a narrative with the artist’s own snapshot of time. Again, each painting is intoxicating, drawing you inexorably deeper in to Fabian’s own life experiences and offering a glimpse into the psyche of the man himself. His distinctive style derives much of its mood and emotion from his life’s journey so far. – a clandestine stolen moment on a dark balcony, nocturnal life in Buenos Aires, or a whirling dervish of flamenco energy. Every tableau unites rhythm and musicianship, even in the pensive silence of his lone studies. The complexities of Fabian’s temperament and influences offer a captivating insight into another world.
