Free Organic Farming Classes at Freedom Park
L
earn a wide variety of organic farming methods
and techniques at five free Saturday classes held at Freedom Park, in Naples, led by John Puig, master gardener and garden manager at Eden Organic Farm. The 3 p.m. ses- sions, coordinated by the Garden at Eden, Freedom Park and the Collier County Parks and Recreation Commission, will be held February 11 and 18 and March 10, 17 and 24. Topics include tips on growing fruit trees, saw palmettos, moringa trees and tropical perennial vegetables; protecting gardens from insects and viruses in environmentally friendly ways; and composting, where participants can view a live, homemade worm ranch.

Experience Ancient Medicine Skills

hroughout February, individuals can tap into the many ancient medicine skills of shamanic practitioner, metaphysician/ psychic and Reiki Master Eve Crowe to meet a variety of physical, spiritual and personal needs. Crowe will lead a shamanic power animal drumming journey from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., February 18, at the Lotus Blossom Clinic, in Fort Myers. Crowe, who has maintained a private practice for more than 20 years and taught at several spas and holistic centers around the country, can conduct Reiki classes and drumming circles and provide animal healing, shamanic healings and tarot readings at her office at the Hotel Escalante, in Naples, and via house calls and special events. She is also donating weekly healings for animals being cared for at the nonprofit Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education & Experience Center, in Naples.
