Follow Your Bliss: A JOURNEY INTO THE SOUL

Tis is the question that the Spiritual Mar- keting Quest (SMQ), pioneered and run by Suzanne Falter-Barns and Jeffrey Van Dyk, sets out to explore. An innovative programme designed for healing or helping practitioners at all career stages, this is no regular marketing course. It is an approach to business which works from the inside out, rather than outside-in. Tis is a journey into the soul, and a quest to expand.
Following on from the traditional archetype of the wounded healer, the core message of the SMQ is that each of us has individual life experiences that uniquely equip us to help others in ways that only we can. Our life’s wounds, and our own personal heal- ing journeys, give us expert knowledge of an emotional landscape that others – our ‘divine market’ – are now experiencing. ‘Like many,’ participant Karen Skehel ex- pressed, ‘I have hidden my wounds, and at times even felt shame around them too. Te SMQ has encouraged me to fully embrace

my wounds.’ Only through this kind of self acceptance can we take those profound gifts out into the world.
Trough the SMQ, Suzanne and Jeffrey ex- emplify what they envision for all their par- ticipants: a unique service based on a unique combination of skills, qualities and life ex- periences. One example Suzanne shared was her personal wound of being quieted as a child – having to be seen and not heard. Trough her work she has helped countless people to find their own voices, and their worth. As we find and express our own per- sonal worth we are able to run our business in a way that heals our very own soul whilst helping others to do the same.
Trough a combination of facilitator led vi- sualisations, group discussions and individ- ual exercises we were supported in accessing our own inner guidance, a key aspect of this work. For participant Marta Ayuso, the in- sight gained, ‘far from being just about busi-
