Know, love and trust yourself. You will never be able to follow your bliss while you are afraid to show the world who you really are, and you’ll never be ready to show the world who you really are until you’ve done the work that enables you to know, love and trust yourself. You are a wonderful woman with strengths, talents and gifts to share with the world, and the world will be a bet- ter place once you know, love and trust yourself enough to share those gifts freely.

Treat yourself as a valuable commodity. By that I don’t mean become selfish and self- centered. I mean, treat yourself with the respect that you deserve by adopting the principle of ‘proper selfishness’. Keep your- self nourished and healthy so that you are in the best possible shape to give your gifts and strengths to the world. If you always put yourself and your needs last, you’ll never be strong enough to follow your bliss.

5. If you have a calling, follow it. If you have a dream, pursue it. You are the only person that has the right to decide what to do with your life. The opinions of others who want to keep you small will only keep you from Following your Bliss. The world needs you to fulfill your purpose – that’s why you’re here. What other people think doesn’t matter.

Joseph Campbell also said, “A hero is some- one who has given his or her life to some- thing bigger than oneself.”
When you follow your bliss you will become the hero in your own life, and in the lives of those around you. ■
