So what is bliss? We asked Christine Mason Miller and here’s what she said:
Last night I was lying on our couch with my chocolate lab curled up next to me. Wild winds were blowing outside, and as deeply as I was sinking into our couch I was sink- ing into the awareness of how blessed I am. Relaxing in the home I created with my husband, enjoying a cozy fire, and thinking of the beautiful circle of family and friends that is always around us, I felt the deep, soothing joy that is bliss. Bliss arrives when I am able to savor the totality of a mo- ment – the thousand tiny details that bring me to each and every moment I experience. ■
