dren in the Western Cape of South Africa. Troughout my journey I did 108 Sun Salu- tations per week (between Autumn Equi- nox and Summer Solstice – 4,644 in total) and encouraged loving, caring, giving souls to sponsor me and the children of Goedge- dacht by donating an olive tree to their beautiful farm and wonderful ‘Path out of Poverty’ causes.
I returned home realizing how much I had healed and completely transformed I had been.
As the sun set on my journey, I couldn’t help but look back and reflect on what an incred- ible year I had experienced!
Te trip changed me forever, and brought me back to myself at the same time. It was everything I had hoped and dreamed for… plus a few wonderful surprises along the way.
I met many phenomenal new people along my travels and reunited with so many old friends. However, without the love, sup- port and constant communication with my wonderful friends and family back home my journey would not have been as nurturing and fulfilling as it was.
I am now happy to be home in Cape Town – to feel healthy, whole and at peace again. My time now is dedicated to reconnecting with my Yoga clients through facilitating ‘Follow the Sun’ workshops, writing a book about my story, engaging as a Yoga lifestyle consultant and sharing what I learned dur- ing my travels.
I am passionate about helping to inspire in- dividuals to find their own radiance, follow their bliss and become a shining light for themselves and for others.
I will never forget my 2010 ‘Follow the Sun’ Journey – I feel completely blessed and grateful – and will forever continue my journey towards my inner-sun, inner-self, inner light and soul.
“If
you...follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living... follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.” Joseph Campbell, Te Power of Myth ■
Passionate about Yoga, health and happiness, Sharni Quinn has just spent nine months travelling through India, Bali and Australia on her personal Yoga pilgrimage and doing Yoga for charity… her ‘Follow the Sun’ Journey.
Upon her return to Cape Town, South Africa, she now plans on sharing her inspiring moments through teaching Yoga, facilitat- ing workshops, writing, sharing her experiences and spreading the sunshine.
