FACEBOOK USERS have integrated their pages with third-party apps to show what they read and listen to, where they go, and what they are doing. Could what they buy be next? According to Digital Trends, indications are that social media interaction is becoming more prevalent in making shopping decisions, and what we share will include where we are shopping online. One site that integrates products with social media


is Sneakpeeq, which recently launched a Facebook shop- ping application that will soon allow users to “peeq” at items that will then broadcast their News Feed. T is gives contacts a look at the style and purchasing habits of their friends and family, and publicizes retailers that partner with Sneakpeeq.


“T e entire idea of buying things on Facebook has


been gaining traction with more people out there,” said Sortprice CEO, Doron Simovitch, quoted in Digital Trends. “I think that as users witness more and more of their friends buying things through shopping appli- cations, you’ll see more of them following suit. T at could very well lead to buying giſt s via such applications becoming the next ‘big’ thing on Facebook.” While the full integration of our shopping habits has yet to reach Facebook, it seems like it is only a mat er of time before a majority of us seek to share best deals and perfect giſt s through social media.
