THE CONSUMER Electronics Association’s (CEA) 2012 International CES will be held January 10th to 13th in Las Vegas, NV, with over 2,700 exhibitors from 140 countries showcasing innovative products and ideas in 1.6 million square feet of exhibit space. T e CES is expected to at ract more than 140,000 at endees, with over 20,000 product launches in the fi elds of 3D, mobile DTV, tablets, apps, connected TVs, embedded Inter- net, green technology and more. T anks to an exclusive partnership with the CEA, Spike TV will telecast live coverage from the event. T rough the introduction of CES All Access Live, technology fans will have the abil- ity to watch more than 12 hours of coverage across TV, online, mobile, and social platforms.


Keynote speakers will include Microsoſt CEO, Steve Ballmer, who will deliver a pre-show keynote address on Jan. 9; Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm; Dieter Zetche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes- Benz Cars; Paul Otellini, president and CEO of Intel Corporation; and Hans Vestberg, president and CEO of Ericsson Group. T e 2012 event also marks the second year of the


CES Innovation Power Panel, with Xerox Chairman and CEO, Ursula Burns, Verizon President and CEO, Lowell McAdam, and Ford Motor Company President and CEO, Alan Mulally. T is year’s event will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and give at endees a unique perspective on the power of innovation in the global marketplace. New events at the 2012 show include:


• The International Academy of Web Television will hold the inaugural IAWTV Awards, the fi rst awards show for the web television industry, presented by and for content creators. Spanning 33 categories and honoring web series and online talent, the IAWTV Awards will reward quality entertainment for digital platforms in 33 different categories.


• The PMA@CES, a new space for photography and digital imaging products and services, spanning from capture to output, will give visitors the opportunity to establish new business connections and reconnect with industry friends. Sponsored by the Photo Marketing Association (PMA), exhibitors will include Pentax Ricoh, Liberty Synergistics, Lucidiom, Noritsu America and Tamrac.


• Eureka Park, a unique exhibit area where fl edgling start-ups, diamond in the rough companies, and budding entrepreneurs can showcase their homegrown innovations. It is sponsored by CES in partnership with the National Science Foundation, CNET and UK Trade & Investment.
