Glen Garioch Founders Reserve
NOMINATED BY Scottish Field ABV 48% REGION Highland “Not so well known, but definitely worth a taste. We sampled this dram at the Royal Highland Show and Scone Game Fair this year and it went down a treat with our readers. A fantastic easy drinking dram at a superb price. Glen Garioch claims to be the oldest distillery in Scotland and is situated in the town of Oldmeldrum. This non chill filtered whisky delivers toffee and peaches on the palate.”
Benromach 10yo
NOMINATED BY Ewen Mackintosh ABV 43% REGION Speyside “A robust and complex dram, a style drawing on the characteristics of Speyside malts made in the past. This bottling has layers of flavours – fruit, spice, malt and peat smoke all wrapped in a rich sherry blanket. Add a little water, sit back and reminisce on the good old days.”
Arran 10yo
NOMINATED BY Scottish Field ABV 46% REGION Island “Toffee apples and vanilla ice cream in a glass. A delightful dram from the independent distillery on Arran. The 10 year old was launched in 2006 and has been gaining momentum ever since.”

Tomintoul 16yo
NOMINATED BY Duncan Ralph ABV 40% REGION Speyside “A mature, well balanced, smooth whisky. Always thought that this was a great whisky for a great price, possibly the reason why it’s known as the ‘the gentle dram’.”
