The scheme aims to facilitate the transfer of services from secondary care to a primary care setting and create opportunities for diagnostic and specialist services.
NWSSP-FS Primary Care estate advisors worked closely with the GP practices and the Local Health Board on this project, offering support and advice in respect of the design, development, and funding processes through to eventual occupation and management arrangements.\

West Rhyl
In the north of Wales the West Rhyl Primary Care Centre opened its doors to patients in May 2010. A derelict railway sidings site provided an ideal opportunity for the third party developer, Local Health Board and stakeholders to work with the Rhyl City Regeneration Strategy for the area, linking the scheme to the public realm works being undertaken to the adjacent railway and bus station.
