Microfresh allows all the senses to be considered in a bid to influence mood and tone
Adding a new dimension to interior design
Ambius has added an extra dimension to the interiors of the Montcalm group’s three luxury central London hotels in the form a scent. In a bid to give guests a distinctly unique experience Ambius’ innovative ambient scenting system, Microfresh, follows in the footsteps of Heston Blumentile’s Fat Duck restaurant experience where all the senses are considered in a bid to influence mood and tone. The scent system has been used for the communal areas of each hotel and there is also an additional option for customers to select individual scenting for their room - The Montcalm in Great Cumberland Place was the first hotel in London to offer customers a menu of scents for their room using the Ambius Microfresh system. At reservation or check-in the customer can select a fragrance from a choice of six delicate aromas including ‘Saw Grass’, ‘Lotus Flower’ and ‘Marine Fresh’ for their room. In a further pioneering move the Montcalm group is developing it’s own bespoke scent. This signature fragrance will help to reinforce the brand experience for customers - an approach that has already been used with great success by high-end fashion retailers.
The use of scent to enhance a space is already a popular concept with high-end fashion retailers
