Group Resistance Training Practical Skills & Choreography
Designed for anyone with little or no teaching experience, this one-day workshop is a preparatory course for AFAA’s Primary Group Exercise Certification. It covers class format, successful cueing, smooth transitions, creative choreography, and effective music utilization. Primary Group Exercise Certification Workshop (v4)
For group exercise instructors whose training and educational background have prepared them to take the AFAA Primary Group Exercise Certification exam, this one-day workshop is a review of AFAA’s Basic Exercise Standards and Guidelines, anatomy, exercise science, exercise eval- uation, and exam criteria. The program format includes practical application of group exercise, study guide overview, and question-and-answer sessions. The day concludes with written exams. As of January 1, 2011, current certification for both CPR and AED certification is required before certification is issued.
