Excitement is Growing at BABA
BABA’s first networking was a huge success! Thanks to Mainland Custom Marble for hosting the inaugural event in July. Everything was excellent and fun was had by all. The drinks were cold, snacks were superb and the social hour was friendly and loud. Greg Tomlinson with Builders Post-Tension generously donated door prizes for the event, as did our hosts, Mainland Custom Marble. Mainland provided tours of the facility for all us novices in the stone cutting world. Thanks to Kevin Bertelsman and Judy Crain Bonica; you treated us like royalty! We are pleased to welcome Liz Newman as our new staff liaison for BABA. The announcement was made at the July 7 networking event. Liz has an impressive history with the Dallas HBA and her enthusiasm for BABA is contagious! We are looking forward to your leadership and new ideas. It will be a pleasure working with you! As we welcome Liz, we are sad to say goodbye to Karen Krenek, who has been at the helm of BABA for the past year. We have all gained from her leadership. Karen, you will be missed but we are glad to know you will still be with the GHBA. Together we have accomplished a great deal, and all of us here at BABA express our heartfelt thanks to you. We hope to see you at the Fall Fling in September so we can send you off in style, with a big party, lots of hugs and a show of gratitude!
