Elliot, 22, and Zander Weaver, 20, are the brothers behind film company Elliander Pictures. Filmmakers since childhood, the pair from Worcestershire, are the sons of BBC cameraman, Chris Weaver. Tey made their first foray into film at the tender ages of three and five, and while still at school, shot King Edward’s’ acclaimed promotional video. Teir first short film, Te Price of Freedom was nominated for a Young Independent Film and TV Award. Te brothers, have also produced music videos for bands such as the Black Eyed Peas and directed a documentary commemorating the 40th anniversary of Apollo 17, for Discovery Channel. www.ellianderpictures.co.uk

Harrow Recruitment entrepreneur


Two years after Andy Shovel founded his graduate recruitment business, Recruitment Squared, business is booming. Specialising in financial recruitment, he has just moved into gleaming new City offices next to the Gherkin. Blue-chip clients include Investec, St James’s Place, stockbrokers, Killik & Co and DHL. Shovel, a Nottingham University graduate and grandson of sports’ promoter, Jarvis Astaire, initally placed graduates in £250 per week, 3 month, try- before-you-hire internships, giving firms a cheap trial before they decided whether to offer placements a permanent job. Tese days he negotiates full salaries, though waives his recruitment fee for 2 months. “It puts the onus on me to ensure the right fit


between employer and employee,” he explains. Te self-confessed petrolhead has already realised two long-held ambitions: he drives a Porsche and competes in his own Toyota racing car. www.recruitment2.com

GB international athlete, Hatti Dean, a former National Cross Country champion and rising star of British distance running is tipped to excel in the women’s steeplechase at the 2012 Olympics, after finishing 4th in the European Championships. Hatti, frustratingly ruled out of the 2008 Olympics, by injury, comes from an ultra-sporty family of Oxfordshire county tennis players and Real Tennis stars. Hatti showed early athletic prowess, starring in the all-male Dragon School running team, then at St Helen’s, Abingdon became a junior lacrosse international and junior tennis player before achieving a First in Maths at Oxford. Newly engaged, she works part time as a civil service statistician in Sheffield, juggling work and a training schedule at Birmingham University and Hallamshire Harriers. It’s common for her to run 90 miles a week. Roll on London 2012!
