Organic certified grapefruit seed extract

Combine expertise and know-how with naturally derived solutions and tailor made products.

Composition and identification: PAM EXTRACT BIO has several cosmetic and dermo- pharmaceutic qualities. Thanks to its outstanding composition in terpens, flavonoïds and amino acids, it can be introduced in a wide product range.

PAM EXTRACT BIO is an organic hydro-glycerinated extract of grapefruit seeds. This natural extract is obtained with organic glycerin thanks to an original extraction process: hyperfrequencies. Due to this low temperatures process, the botanical active ingredient is not modified and there are no residual organic solvents in the extract.

Global activities included: Anti-hyaluronidase activity The hyaluronidase is an endoglycosidase which hydrolyses the hyaluronic acid. That enzyme appears, very often, in many skin process like the healing, the migration cells, the ageing, and the progressive damage of the lack of moisturising. These tests permitted to show the PAM EXTRACT BIO efficiency in this situation.

Anti-comedon activity The PAM EXTRACT BIO brings a very significant anti- blackheads action on all of the face. After a three week treatment we can notice: Decreasing number of blackheads on cheeks, forehead, peribucal, and chin zones (see graph 1).

Sebum regulator activity PAM EXTRACT BIO brings significant sebum regulating action after 21 days treatment. The Sébutape®

Anti-phosphodiesterase activity The anti-phosphodiesterase properties of the PAM EXTRACT BIO were studied using phosphodiesterase (PDE). The PDE activity was evaluated using a fluorescent analogue of cAMP, the fluorescence of which decreases when hydrolysed by phosphodiesterase. The catalytic activity of PDE was measured in the absence and in the presence of various concentrations of PAM EXTRACT BIO. This test shows that PAM EXTRACT BIO is able to significantly inhibit the phosphodiesterase activity and so to induce real applications for all slimming cosmetic formulations. (see graph below)
