WITH EQUESTRIAN LIFE

Oh! We do love to be beside the seaside

Your chance to WIN a seaside holiday with your horse at Field Farm Langham Road, Ember Lane, Mumby, Lincolnshire LN13 9SL Telephone 01754 872354 email info@field-farm.net

Field Farm was not so long ago an old dairy farm, having been operated by the Hill family for three generations and once a thriving business it had, like so many other family farms, become a shadow of its former self.

We purchased Field Farm with the specific intention of creating an equestrian centre where horses and their owners (of all ages and all abilities) could visit and use the facilities in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Our aim from day one was to create a centre we would like to take our horses to.

In addition to providing indoor and outdoor schools, show- jumping paddock, UK Chasers XC course and BHS-approved horse accommodation, we believed the ‘jewel’ in Field Farm’s crown is that we are just under a mile direct hack to a glorious beach. So many horse owners dream of taking their horse to the beach and at Field Farm that dream is a daily reality.

Whether visitors come for a day, weekend, long weekend or longer, our intention is to make them as welcome as we possibly can and ensure they get the very best of their time for what is an incredibly reasonable price.

The competition will be running through to May 10th 2011. Send us a photo of you and your horse saying why you deserve a beach riding holiday or short break in not more than 40 words .

On offer is a midweek break for the winner for three horses and/ or ponies and three people and two runners-up prizes of a Friday / Saturday break for two people and two horses/ponies, with the lucky winners picking any available date between June and December 2011.

Winners’ breaks would include horse accommodation in the stables, turnout in a private paddock, hay, straw, full use of all the facilities including UK Chasers cross-country course, indoor and outdoor schools, show-jumping paddock and beach access. Human accommodation would also be included in one of our

self-catering holiday homes (or they could if they preferred stay in their own horse lorry). Food and transport are not included. There are a couple of local pubs (we’ve even arranged with one so that riders can hack to the beach, ride the beach to Chapel then back through to the pub where the horses can graze in a paddock behind the pub whilst the riders “graze” on a home made pub lunch). Plus there are plenty of shops within a few miles of the farm.

Prizes limited to a maximum of three people and three horses for the 1st prize midweek break (Mon to Fri) and two people with two horses for the Fri / Sat break for the two runners-up prizes. In both cases, more people and horses could be added by the winners but they would be chargeable (this is in case they have a family of four, for example) and winners could extend their stay at additional cost if required.

Send your entry any time between now and May 8/9th (to arrive
