The Silver Horseshoe Riding Club, based in Collingham near Newark at Grants’ Equestrian held their presentation evening in the excellent new community centre in North Muskham. The evening was well attended and local judge, Mr David Morley presented dozens of perpetual trophies and beautiful rosettes to those riders and handlers who had amassed the most points at shows throughout 2010. To name just a few, the Slater sisters, Eloise and Brianna, collected numerous show jumping and games trophies, Melissa Cumberland collected no fewer than eleven awards won by her three ponies and show jumper Mikki Bailey took home at least three top awards. Laura Sharpe, one of the club’s youngest competitors, won the style and appearance championship trophy.
