From the very start

Hoover Industries, Inc., in business since 1955, has been a proud participant in the Aircraft Interiors Expo since the shows premiere in Hamburg

In these years they have been pleased to see the show’s growth into a premiere event for this sector of the Aircraft Products Industry. They have also benefited as a corporation from the wider scope of global clients available to meet and make lasting business relationships with. Hoover Industries, Inc. is a world-leading supplier of Interiors Soft Products and Life Saving Equipment, including Life Jackets, Life Rafts, Seat Covers and other safety or comfort related textile manufactured products.

In the many years of coming back and forth to Hamburg, to participate in the event, the management of Hoover Industries also carefully noted the great opportunities the city of Hamburg provides to companies seeking to expand in the Aerospace and Aviation Sector, and the great advantage of the “cosmopolitan-cozy” city’s great location as a world-renowned International Shipping Port and the closeness to customers throughout Europe and Asia, including the proximity to the Airbus facility. With help and guidance from the HWF Hamburg, who met Hoover Industries, Inc. Management at the AIX Show, and who have very professionally assisted with the key points of starting a business abroad, Hoover Industries, Inc, took the leap and set up a sister facility that opens this year called Hoover Industries, GmbH. The new GmbH Hoover will directly support

European and Asian Clients with their needs, and hold stock for Contract Customers at its facility in Finkenwerder that can be readily installed on Airbus aircraft within a few short hours of the call to supply. Representatives from Hoover Industries GmbH will join their colleagues from Hoover Industries Inc., at this years show and be available to set up direct services to clients from the region who are not already benefiting from Hoover Industries, Inc.´s wide range of product and service offerings. Hoover Industries, Inc., is not standing still, it has gone through a healthy re-structuring, has nearly completed its AS9100 Certification, and is now initiating its Lean Six Sigma program. Upper management of Hoover Industries, Inc sees these systems as essential elements to the continued growth of Hoover companies in the years to come.

Hoover Industries, Inc. has also been working with partners in the Industry on research and development of beneficial and critical parts tracking and parts retention programs, which will provide Airlines with greater ease of use of Hoover Industries, Inc. products and provide value-added benefit long term to inventory costs. Hoover Engineers are working on a re- evaluation of the product line with a mandate to work on even greater innovations of lightweight design, and practical packaging configurations.

Management at Hoover introduced a re-stating

of core values to team members last year, refreshing all company representatives of what the company is and what it stands for. These Corporate Values were encapsulated into four basic laws: Ethics, Expertise, Excellence, Ecstasy. Ethics is a core part of company values. All team members are expected to behave in a forthright, integral, and honest manner, and ensure vigilant compliance to the Rules and Regulations that govern our Industry. Expertise is built by doing, training, and providing all team members with the tools and resources required to train to the level of expert for their function and as they rise within the company. Excellence is what the company works for everyday in what is produced, how it’s produced, and the way in which it is provided to clients. Ecstasy is what Hoover Industries companies generate with Internal and External Customers alike when these laws are properly followed. Customers should expect to see great strides

from Hoover Industries, Inc. and Hoover Industries, GmbH working together that will directly benefit the ease and flow of their contract fulfilment in the coming months and years. Should you wish to stop and meet with representatives of Hoover Industries, Inc., or Hoover Industries GmbH, you can do so at their booth 1A1 at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo.
