TUSKMMABATHOCASINORESORT,MMABATHO Opened in January 1999 the casino is operated by Peermont Global and cost R233m. There are 155 slots and eight tables and 263,629 visitors. It was recently refurbished and is located in the historic town of Mafikeng with four star hotel, swimming pool and convention centre.
RIOCASINORESORT,KLERKSDORP Also operated by Peermont Global the casino opened in September 2004 and cost R72m. There are 265 slots and 11 tables and it saw some 400,000 visitors. Inspired by the Rio de Janeiro Carnival the resort is colourful and vibrant.
SUNCITY,PILANESBURG Opened in December 1979 this was South Africa’s first casino and is operated by Sun International. It is located in the Sun City Hotel which has 340 rooms plus golf course. It has seen a total capital investment of R1bn and has 601 slots and
38 tables. There are 893,896 visitors.
THECAROUSELCASINOAND ENTERTAINMENTWORLD Opened in November 1991 this is operated by The Carousel (Sun International) and cost R22m. There are 700 slots and 19 tables and 504,000 visitors.
