Mountain music comes alive in Big Ivy Big Ivy
By Matt Tate Bluegrass and folk music reigned
supreme Saturday (Aug. 28) in Big Ivy as some early-afternoon show- ers did nothing to dampen the spir- its of those attending the second annual Big Ivy Mountain Music Festival. Te Freeman Family Band, the
Darrell Webb Band, Paul’s Creek Band and others performed during the event. Local vendors sold a vari- ety of crafted goods. Area businesses such as Blue
Mountain Pizza and West Family Funeral Services helped sponsor the event.
