downfield when Owen’s Chris Smith snagged a tipped Brown pass and re- turned it 93 yards for a touchdown, putting the Warhorses ahead 32-14 with 6:50 remaining in the third quar- ter.
However, it was Erwin that would
respond to the next two turnovers. After a fumble from the Warhorses’ Jordon Littlejohn, the Erwin offense

moved down field, ending in a 6-yard touchdown run by Brown, trimming the Warriors’ deficit to 10 points. On the ensuing kickoff, the Warriors
executed a squib kick that the War- horses’ special teams unit mishandled. Erwin took control of the ball, and Brown ran in for another touchdown, cutting Owen’s lead to 32-29. Owen took the lead back to 10 points
in the fourth quarter. Brown again re- sponded with a 40-yard quarterback sweep, making the score 39-36. Erwin’s defense held Owen to a
three-and-out on the ensuing pos- session. Owen mishandled a punt at- tempt, and the Warriors recovered the ball deep in Owen territory. Curenton’s touchdown catch in the final seconds set off a wild celebration. Te Warriors will be on the road
