During this era the NSEI staff developed guidance materials and how-to instructions on how to plan and conduct all of the various affiliate activities, i.e. membership recruiting, program planning, new member orientation, DSA Programs, student programs fund raising etc.

The NSEI staff members made frequent visits to the affiliates and were available to provide counsel to local affiliate leaders.
