meeting to be held simultaneously but independent of the sales conference sponsored by the New York Sales Executives Club and the American Marketing Society
On October 17, 1935 twenty nine men sat down to dinner at the Waldorf Astoria to discuss how a national federation should be formed and what

direction it should take. The group unanimously agreed to create the National Federation of Sales Executives. Each participant became a charter member. Committees were formed to contact the various Sales Managers Clubs to seek their affiliation with the proposed federation. A committee of five was appointed to draft a constitution.
