Successful first job for DryJect


THE first DryJect operation in the UK was undertaken on the 10th April at Queenwood Golf Club in Surrey. The contracting team, utilised four DryJect machines to


complete over 15,000 square metres of greens in just one day. Working closely with the greenstaff at the club, about 28


tons of 2EW Garside sand was injected at 75mm centres into all the greens to a depth of around 125mm. 2 greens were also injected using Axis, supplied by Headland Amenity. The 5 year old course has USGA specification greens with A4 creeping bent grass. Cameron McMillan, the Course Manager said, “What was I

The DryJect will greatly assist in helping us to achieve all of these, with little or no disruption to putting surfaces. Our members have already commented on how little disruption there has been.” The DryJect system uses water under high pressure to decompact the surface and create a hole and fissures in the upper profile. Simultaneously kiln dried sand or other specified soil amendments are injected to instantaneously completely fill the voids left by the water injection.
