Essential Management Skills Course - New Dates Announced
Leicester Tigers RFC is announced as venue for courses in June and September
Our second such course will be delivered yet again by trainer and careers counsellor, Frank Newberry. The venue is Leicester Tigers RFC and the two dates scheduled for the course are 29th June & 28th September 2006 Frank has trained Groundsmen and Greenkeepers for more than 15 years and this specifically designed course is aimed at helping those in a supervisory or management position to acquire a range of vital management skills and to put them into practice successfully in the workplace. It provides a valuable insight into the responsibilities and skills required for anyone with the ambition to hold a supervisory or management role.
Places are limited to 12 per
course. Three months separate the two days so delegates have the
opportunity to implement new techniques and then feed their experiences back to the group. Here is just one of the positive comments we received from a delegate on the first course: “It does exactly what it says on the tin. Bill Adams Literary Awards
The closing date for entries has now passed. Our thanks to all the members and students who took the time and effort to write an article. The aim was to produce a written piece of work in a journalistic style on any subject relating to the sports turf industry. The topics chosen have been quite varied, from
water restrictions to black layer solutions. All the entries have been forwarded to Bill for his
official appraisal. Once a decision has been made we will notify the winning entrant(s) and details will be published on the Pitchcare site. Our thanks to Bill for endorsing the awards and our thanks to Syngenta for their sponsorship.
