Maastricht is one of the oldest towns in the Netherlands and an ideal location because of its rich business, political and cultural resources as well as its proximity to other major European countries such as Belgium and Germany

Programme

MBA EMBA

For more than half a century, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) has focused on international cooperation, thus combining education, technical assistance and research in its professional services.

High-quality management degree programmes (MBA, EMBA, MSc, DBA, PhD) are offered worldwide. With over 2000 students graduating in more than 25 countries, MSM is the largest international business school in the Netherlands.

International character

MSM has worked for years at the interface of the public and private sectors management of transition processes in culturally diverse environments. MSM’s guiding principle is the enhancement of performance of the private and public sectors to support balanced economic development. MSM provides technical assistance and specific training to government agencies, semi-government agencies, NGOs, post-secondary education institutions and the private sector, including Small and Medium Enterprises.

MSM’s objective is to enhance professional competence and enrich the lives and careers of those involved in the practice of management. The School balances management theory with practical experience and research in a multicultural and multidisciplinary setting. This approach, combined with an emphasis on the participants’ own skills and knowledge, makes studying in Maastricht or at one of its international locations a unique cross- cultural experience.

Specializations

MSM’s programmes are designed to stimulate creative management thinking and to meet the needs of candidates lacking the theoretical underpinning and training required to apply management knowledge to practice.

The following specializations are offered: Accounting and Finance (MBA); Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy (MBA), International Business (MBA, EMBA, MSc), Management Information

Systems (MBA) and Facility Management (EMBA). For candidates without working experience, MSM offers a twelve-month Master of Science in Management in International Business. This programme starts in September and costs € 12,900.

Campus facilities

The teaching building has a state-of- the-art architectural design with modern, tastefully furnished lecture and discussion rooms, plenty of computer workstations with broadband Internet access spread over several rooms. A large information center has online full- text access to virtually all publications in the area of management and a large collection of books. The information center is networked with other university libraries, so practically all books can be borrowed. Participants enjoy accommodation in a comfortable student residence, conveniently located next to the school building.
