Endless Boundaries

Known as one of the most successful Latin music

artist and producer of all time, Emilio Estefan isn’t bound to slow down anytime soon. The talented mu- sician came to fame in the late 1970’s with a Miami based group known as the Miami Sound Machine and rose to stardom as one of the most recognized producers of many famous singers. Estefan doesn’t sell himself short of his Cuban roots and continues to seek success in all aspects of his business venues. He is a role model and example to all and is living proof that money and success comes to those who work hard to find it. Emilio Estefan was born and raised in Havana,

Cuba on March 4, 1953. His parents owned a business of sewing underwear for a family member’s shop up until it was confiscated by the communist regime. His family, like many families in Cuba, struggled fi- nancially during the communist regime and looked for opportunities to escape the harsh government. Although it was difficult for his family to face the idea of leaving the country, they knew it was in their best interest to do so. Estefan’s grandparents had already emigrated to Cuba many years before, and the idea of leaving Cuba and all they had worked for was difficult to accept. In February of 1967, Estefan and his father caught a flight to Spain before immi- grating to the United States and settling in Miami.
