Planet Fitness Looks to Canada

NEWINGTON, NH - Planet Fitness, the

American health club chain known for its “judgment-free zone” and friendly prices, has started selling franchises in Canada. "Canada is wide-open territory with

enormous potential," says Mark Christie, Planet Fitness' director of development. The company has grown from four loca- tions in 2003 to nearly 280 gyms in 31 U.S. states, with another 400-plus clubs in development. Planet Fitness has achieved its growth
