HUMAN ENERGY WOODINVILLE, WA — Thanks
to technology developed by ReRev, Precor elliptical machines can now deliver human-generated energy back to the electrical grid. ReRev technology works exclusive-
ly with Precor ellipticals to capture energy generated during a workout. This energy is sent to a central invert- er which converts it from DC to AC power and returns it directly to the electrical grid. According to ReRev, a typical 30-minute workout will pro- duce 50 watt hours of clean, carbon- free electricity, enough to run a laptop computer for 1 hour. Over the course of 10 hours in a
typical gym, 15 ellipticals can gener- ate energy equivalent to 16 central air conditioners running for one hour – a carbon reduction of 110 lbs.
