April 2010
So, we’re back in the office and full of the joys of spring, as some milder weather finally seems to be creeping up on us. Ecobuild has now closed its doors on its 41,000+ visitors and what a show it was. Earls Court was flooded
with a sense of sustainable gumption and the people that I met and technologies that I saw were, at the very least, highly impressive. Starting on page 14, we take you through the highlights of the show, including comments from exhibitors and a run down of some of the best products on display. Next year, Ecobuild is making a giant leap to the vast ExCel Arena where it will no doubt impress us with more ecological ingenuity. The show is set to run from 1-3 March 2011.

industry and asking, what makes an architect indispensible in his or her own field? On pages 22-23 we are taking a look at the Art Fund Prize 2010. The long list has been an- nounced and it is certainly that- long. This years entrants proved both mighty and strong in their cultural giving’s and so have all made the list, which is to be whittled down once again at the end of May, until we finally have our winner commended on 30th June 2010. Kirsty Young is heading up the judging panel this year.
