Yours Youthfully
Nagarathar Youth Exchange Program
In our community there are lot of young people. I think it would be nice and fun if we all get to meet each
other. So, I think we can start a program called Nagarathar Youth Exchange. This program would help us
meet other people our age, learn about different places and Nagarathar families. We can ask for volunteer
host families in a few select cities such as New York, Washington D.C, San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit,
Toronto, Houston, Orlando etc. A group of 3-5 youth from one area can visit another for a couple of days
depending on the interest of the youth involved and they can be asked to host the other at a later time. The
transportation cost will be met by the youth or arrange for sponsorship from NSNA or other Nagarthars or
fundraisers during the picnic and NSNA National Meeting. The host family would take the children around
the city and entertain them. This program is only for teenagers [13 and up]. Please write your comments or
suggestions to all the youth committee members and also for NANAL.

Losing My Grandmother’s Bracelet
My grandmother gave me a bracelet. The bracelet was beautiful. My mother told me not to lose it because
it was very rare to find one. One day I came home from school and the phone rang. I picked it up; it was
for my mother. Then I went to the park where all kinds of animals are there. I played at the park for 45
minutes. Then I came home so tired. I looked at my hand. My bracelet was gone. I got so scared. I ran
all the way to the park. I must of droped it at the park. I went to the park. I saw a boy playing. I asked
him if he saw a bracelet. He said “no.”. No other kid was in the park. Only animals. So I asked a bird,
“Have you seen a bracelet?” It said, “No, but I can help you find it.” I asked a monkey the same thing. It
said, “No, but I could help you find it.” I asked a whale the same question, and it said the same thing.
