SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Smart Light Sydney promotes energy
savings in lighting, best practices in design
and a reduction of obtrusive light into the
night atmosphere. Held between 26 May to
14 June, Smart Light Sydney 2009 presented
new ideas for light art and architectural
lighting in city environments.
The theme for 2009, City and Memories,
was influenced by the creative nature of
light and by the fact that cities are not
only defined by their architecture but
also by atmospheres that leads to creating
memorable experiences for its inhabitants.
Smart Light Sydney was a cornerstone
for Vivid Sydney, which was hailed as
the biggest international music and light
festival in the Southern Hemisphere.
