Rage: No, it’s very deserving. It’s quite a breath of fresh air musically and we need that nowadays. Your song
“Traffic Light” is my favorite lately. Its very 1970s Olivia Newton-John like in your vocals and very cool lyrically…
yet so sunshiny in the feeling. That song really shows your voice off.
KW: Yeah, I can sing but I just like shoutin’ (laughter). I just like getting up a good shout, you know?
“Traffic Light” was a song that we wrote and we were like “let’s just sing.” We can sing but I don’t
know… it’s just there are so many girls with half-decent voices who just sing natural folk songs. I
just found it empowering screaming.
Rage: You are going to be headlining with P!nk. When does that start?
KW: We start in September. Right now, we are doing a radio tour in the states. We just arrived in
Buffalo and we don’t know where we’re going next but it should be a bit of fun.
