time and attend even more social functions. That’s a lot of driving and travelling,
but it’s all for work so I can report back to you on all the happenings of each city,
so please... no jokes about my “high mileage” because I will find out where they’re
coming from. (I’m talking to YOU Alexa)!
Don’t get me wrong, it won’t be all work and no play. This girl lives for that kind
of stuff. I’m a social butterfly and damn proud of it.
Just in case my local San Diego peeps are worried, don’t be. I’m not going to start
neglecting you here in my hometown. There is plenty of Daisy to go around. (I’m
serious Alexa, not a word out of you)! I love Long Beach & L.A. and I love venturing
out and finding new places to play, but San Diego is still the place I come home to
at the end of the day.
This will be fun though. I’m giddy with excitement. I hope my column encour-
ages my longtime readers to venture north every now and then to see what I’m
writing about, and I hope my new readers decide to come down to San Diego and
see what all the fuss is about down here. So pack an overnight bag and visit your
neighbors for a weekend!
LET’S TAkE A Look bAck AT ThE EVENTS iN ApRiL!
Naturally, the biggest event for me was the Palm Springs White Party weekend.
Of course I could not miss out on the opportunity to be surrounded by hot guys
in Speedos and get a chance to hear Lady GaGa sing in person again. The whole
weekend was amazing. The weather was fabulous, not too hot to make a girl’s
make-up run, and not so cool that the boys were covering anything up either. I
have to hand it to Jeffrey Sanker. His white party is the Easter weekend “must-do”
and each year flocks of nubile young men migrate to Palm Springs to display their
plumage and party it up for a weekend of dancing, dancing, and then some more
dancing. I had my cha-cha heels on and and plenty of outfit changes prepared all
weekend. I can’t wait to see if Sanker can top himself next year.
Still, as amazing as the weekend was, the best part was Lady GaGa’s perfor-
mance. As many of you know, I’m a big fan and the Lady did not disappoint. Unlike
