Qatar Airways is delighted to support the 2008 ttgbusiness
Industry Report. With the launch of a fourth daily flight from London
Heathrow in March 2008, Qatar Airways now flies 42 times a week
between Qatar and the UK from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and
Manchester to Doha, making this a flagship route for the airline.
We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from the UK
business travel community and look forward to continuing our strong
AKBAR AL BAKER working relationship with the corporate sector in the years to come.
Qatar Airways Chief
Qatar Airways’ fleet of 64 Boeing and Airbus aircraft now serves a route
Executive Officer
network of 83 worldwide destinations from the airline’s hub in Doha,
including key business and leisure routes across Middle East, Africa,
South Asia, Far East and North America.
As one of just a handful of five-star ranked airlines, Qatar Airways prides
itself on providing customers with superior levels of service and comfort on
one of the youngest fleets in the skies. This has been recognised again in
2008 with receipt of two prestigious Skytrax awards, for the “Best Carrier in
the Middle East Region” for the third consecutive year and for “Best Cabin
Crew in the Middle East” for the sixth year in a row.
The needs of the business traveller remain at the forefront of our growth
and expansion strategy. In this area we have achieved remarkable industry
firsts, including becoming the first airline in the world to open a dedicated
passenger terminal exclusively for our First and Business Class customers at
Doha International Airport.
Built in just nine months in 2006 at a cost of just under US$100 million,
the Premium Terminal’s features include a spa, jacuzzi, fine dining
restaurants and meeting and conference facilities. Already demand is
extremely high and we are expanding the terminal by creating three times
more seating capacity for Business Class passengers.
Qatar Airways’ latest innovation, the launch of on-line check-in for UK
passengers, is testament to our ongoing investment in providing
sponsored by:
passengers with an improved travel experience.
We look forward to continuing a long, healthy and prosperous
partnership with the UK travel community.
