part 6: basic ball carry, Indian dribble

Ball should be approx a stick’s length away from body (see below left)


Ball in 12 o’clock to 1 o’clock position (second and third pictures)


Use ‘dribble grip’ (V of left hand points down back of stick)

Hands together at top of stick Extend left arm so it is straight Eyes up – always scanning forwards.


This set up allows you to run at speed with the ball. This is because the ball is in


front of you so you can take bigger, longer strides and therefore move faster with the ball.
