Siemens UK & Ireland has released a new range of commanding and signalling devices certified with IP69K degree of protection for use in rugged environments.

IRIUS ACT is a modular system featuring a wide variety of buttons,
switches and indicators in four design ranges and a choice of metal and plastic finishes to suit end-user requirements. The components are highly flexible and can also be combined with different rear-mounting contact and LED modules.
COMPACT UNITS There is sufficient space to accommodate up to three modules side by side, or up to two modules behind each other in each case. The modules are available with screw terminals, spring-type terminals or solder pin connections. Siemens UK & Ireland also offers compact units in which the electrical module is permanently attached to the holder. Developed with ease of installation in mind, SIRIUS ACT can be assembled quickly without the need for tools thanks to an intuitive snap-on system.
A screwed connection with twist prevention ensures reliability in the absence of keyed holes. Disassembly is equally as rapid thanks to a release lever. Because of its IP69K degree of protection, the SIRIUS ACT range is unaffected by dust, oils, caustic solutions and extreme environmental influences to the extent that it can safely be cleaned with a high-pressure jet at high- temperatures. Their long mechanical
service life and certification for potentially explosive atmospheres makes the devices suitable for every application.
DRAG-AND-DROP Siemens UK & Ireland has also developed an online configurator for fast and convenient component combination and ordering, by means of drag-and-drop. The system automatically generates a unique CIN number for each customer to re-order without needing to enter repeat information. Martin Brown, Sirius ACT Product
