Academic Achievement Day & Honors Induction Night For the third consecutive year,
Bergen Catholic hosted an Academic Achievement Day on October 22, where Crusaders from every class were honored for their achievement of academic excellence in their stu- dent careers. The morning event honored 167 BC students who earned either academic scholarships or college book awards or were named to the school’s Principal’s list. Two seniors, Nikolas Paladino ’16 and Peter Yoon ’16, were also recog- nized as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists.

BC Honored With ExamSoft National Award Bergen Catholic was named the September 2015 ExamSoft Success
Champion thanks to the school’s successful implementation of Exam- Soft as the primary source of testing throughout the entire school com- munity. Since May 2015, BC has gone digital with all exams and quizzes administered to its students, and thanks in part to this seamless inte- gration of technology into the academic life of the school, BC was hon- ored as the company’s highlight school for the month of September. ExamSoft has partnered with over 800 institutions of higher education including various colleges, universities, and law schools throughout the country, and successfully administers more than one million exams every year.
Ganley Foundation Speaks to Students on Topics of Depression and Suicide On October 2, the Bergen Catholic community welcomed Grace Carri-
carte, the Executive Director of The Ganley Foundation, and Jordan Burn- ham, a renowned public speaker and suicide survivor, to Hoehl Gymnasium to speak on the topics of suicide and depression in a school-wide assembly. The event was sponsored by the BC Alive club, and was in conjunction with The Ganley Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in the memory of Bergen Catholic alumnus James Ganley ’00, who committed suicide in 2004 after suffering from undiagnosed depression.
