company’s latest Sytrama S9-L robot will be producing coat hangers on a 4-cavity mould using gas assist technology, while an Eleos 65-210 machine will be producing a sunglasses case with a living hinge on a single-cavity mould. The Eleos machine will be equipped with a Sytrama Robot One-L configured for clamp end part placement. The company will also show a Canbio Evolution model running the MuCell microcellular foam injection moulding technology and a Canbimat Multi-Material e210-850h-320v machine equipped with a rotary table and a gantry-mounted Sytrama S7-L robot moulding two-colour decorative containers. ❙ www.negribossi.it


Niigata Booth W1363


Two new all-electric moulding machines will be introduced by Niigata, including the 100 tonne S7000 vertical model equipped with the company’s patented toggle system to allow the table height


to be dropped to just 1,040mm from the ground. The MDVR110S7000 machine also features a wider table to accommodate larger moulds, while an ultra-low injection speed function (0.01 mm/s) eases production of thick wall insert moulded parts. The company will also introduce the seventh


generation of its all-electric horizontal moulding machine to the US. Again shown in a 100 tonne version, the MD110S7000 does away with the need for lower side tiebar bushings on the moving platen to minimise risk of contamination of parts. It also uses a new FDA- approved greasing system, while the electric nozzle force control now offers a wider range of adjustment to help reduce sprue bushing wear. ❙ www.niigata-us.com


Stork Booth W929


Exhibiting at NPE for the first time, Netherlands-based Stork IMM will show a 4400-3550 model from its Pail Line of accumulator-supported hybrid drive injection moulding machines producing a 0.5 gallon pail on a 2-cavity mould running on a 6.5s cycle. Stork IMM specialises in production systems for the thin wall packaging industry and produces a range of applica- tion-optimised designs. Aside from its Pail Line of machines, which extend from 150 to 1,400 tonnes, the company also offers Food Line, Pot Line and Crate Line models. ❙ www.storkimm.com


Sumitomo SHI Demag Booth W623


One of the novelties of the Sumitomo SHI Demag display will be production of a micro-moulded POM gear for a cataract surgical tool measuring just 0.775mm in diameter. The 0.524g component, which is used to rotate the blade in a surgical device developed by US-company Eye Care and Cure, will be produced on an SE30DUW direct drive all-electric machine equipped with an SL screw. The single-cavity cold runner mould is supplied by Makuta Technics. The company will also show its SE-EV-HD High Duty all electric moulding machine for the first time in North America. The HD version of the company’s proven SE-EV machine is designed for production of thicker wall components that typically require cycle times of 15s and greater, offering the ability to provide higher packing forces and extended hold-on times.
