NPE 2015 | exhibition preview
Shaping up for NPE 2015
NPE 2015 takes place later this month in Orlando, Florida, US, and all the signs are that it will be a big event – the biggest in its 69-year history, in fact. Some 2,000 exhibitors and more than 60,000 visitors are expected to converge on the Orange County Confer- ence Centre (OCCC) over the fi ve days from 23-27 March to look, feel and discuss pretty much everything plastic.
The indications are that this will also be the most
international NPE show. More than 40% of the booked exhibitors are from outside of the US, drawn from 37 countries including large contingents from China, India, South Korea and Taiwan as well as more familiar exhibitor countries such as Canada, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Near 30% of attendees are likely to come from outside of the US, with the organiser SPI forecast- ing near 10% of the total from Latin America. Most of those attending NPE will be there for the
main show but there’s also a lot going on around the OCCC. Paid for events include the Society of the Plastics Engineers (SPE) ANTEC technical conference (23-25 March) and the Industrial Designers Society of America (ISDA) Southern District Design Conference (26-27 March). More information about the paid-for confer- ences around the show can be found here. Free learning options include a Key Market Briefi ng

on the morning of the opening day and a series of Panel Discussions on Plastics Design on 26 March. Find out more or register here. In last month’s edition of Injection World we took a
brief look at the show and some of the injection moulding equipment that will be on display. Over the next nine pages you will fi nd a more comprehensive preview of the new injection moulding material and machinery introductions you can fi nd in Orlando, as well as some of the key innovations in relevant ancillary equipment and mouldmaking. The AMI Magazines team will be at NPE throughout
the show and AMI will also be exhibiting. Call in on our Booth in the West Hall – W8283 – to fi nd out more about our digital magazines, international data products, industry reports and conferences and to take advantage of our special show offers.
