Preview ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2015 MICROGAMING IS ROARING INTO THE ICE SHOW


Microgaming’s Head of Product Channels, Neill Whyte, reveals the forthcoming attractions set to thrill visitors to the booth at ICE 2015


At Microgaming, we’re busy gearing up for the largest gaming show of the year. 2014 was a pretty roarsome event, but we’re confident that 2015 will be just as spectacular, if not even a little bit better!


2014 was a year full of activity and we had plenty to talk about – we launched 167 new Casino games, including blockbusters Avalon II, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2 and Game of Thrones. Plus, our Terminator 2 online slot won Digital Product of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards!


We added 62 games on mobile and launched seven new multi-player games. Our multi-player platform grew hugely, and through our network and operator tournaments, a total of €6 million was paid out! Furthermore, our progressive jackpot network, the largest in the industry, paid out a whopping €39 million.


Our Quickfire platform also continued to grow at an exceptional rate - we signed up over 45 new operators, including Betfair, Thrills.com and Vera&John, taking the total number of operators live nearer to 200! And the MPN welcomed several new customers including PokerHeaven and iGames.am.


Not forgetting, we also launched a brand-new Corporate Social Responsibility identity,


Microgaming PlayItForward, which represents our comprehensive CSR programme on the Isle of Man and further afield. This was celebrated at the Isle of Man Newspapers’ Awards for Excellence in November, where we proudly took home the award for CSR.


With all this in mind, ICE in February is the perfect place to celebrate and showcase our 2014 achievements. Our latest content will be playable on the plethora of devices on our stand, across online, mobile and land-based platforms. There will even be a giant iTab or two!


But what would ICE be without some exciting, new announcements – and we always like to have a few surprises up our sleeves. Without giving too much away, this includes a new brand licensing agreement, an extensive roadmap of content, and a flurry of exciting deals! We’ll also be demoing our most recent product developments in Casino, Poker, Bingo and Live Dealer, as well as an exciting upgrade to our Quickfire platform. Our operators have plenty to look forward to in 2015!


Finally, evolving on from last year, where we amazed attendees with our vision of the future, we’ll once again be showing a glimpse of what could lie ahead for our industry. We’ll delve into the fascinating world of wearable technology – smartwatches, oculus rift and google cardboard - and show how virtual reality could become reality in the near future. GAMCROWD PITCHES INTO THE ICE TALENT POOL


GamCrowd is the first and only gambling-specific crowdfunding platform, showcasing a range of companies in the space that are offering investment opportunities in return for equity in their business


Based in London, UK, GamCrowd is the brainchild of a group of serial entrepreneurs with vast start-up, and betting and gaming experience. The management team consists of chief executive officer Chris North, chairman Ian Hogg and finance director Andrew Bowen. Pre-screened start-ups that have completed a rigorous process in order to be certified as ‘GamCrowd fit’ are connected to sophisticated investors and high-net individuals through the


platform. GamCrowd will also be launching a crowdsourcing network that will create a global marketplace where buyers can obtain services, ideas and content for a pre-determined price from a group of skilled, professional suppliers on a per-task basis.


The company has teamed up with Clarion and is offering a free and easy-to-enter opportunity for start-ups to pitch their businesses at the world’s largest betting and gaming event, ICE Totally Gaming 2015.


Pitch ICE will provide the platform for entrepreneurs to present live and direct to attendees – these entrepreneurs will have 15 minutes to sell their concepts on the show floor.


Following a public vote over the two weeks following ICE Totally Gaming 2015 the best pre- and post-funding propositions will be determined. The winner from each of the two categories will gain free access to GamCrowd’s incubator skills and expertise and an invaluable promotion to the gambling industry.


Applicants should simply upload a two-minute pitch video via the GamCrowd website that sets out their idea, includes a short product demo, and outlines what they want to achieve from the show. All approved videos will be published at GamCrowd.com so ICE delegates can schedule in the pitches they want to see.
