Novomatic Group of Companies’s Spanish subsidiary has become majority shareholders of GiGames and Conei Spain - Corporate


Austria’s NOVOMATIC Group, through its Spanish subsidiary NOVOMATIC Gaming Spain, has acquired a majority shareholding in GiGames.


Through the newly announced partnership with NOVOMATIC, Europe’s largest gaming group and a major player on the world stage, GiGames and the Conei Group are now confident of ensuring con- tinued growth as manufacturers and distributors of gaming equipment and on expanding and improving their product offerings.


The NOVOMATIC management is convinced that the longstanding experience of GiGames and the Conei Group, as a local and successful manufac- turer and operator, will greatly help the Company to consolidate and further enhance its future mar- ket position in the Spanish gaming sector, clearly acknowledged to be one of the most important gaming markets in Europe.

Spain In view of the huge development of online gaming and the opening of a new period for submitting licences by the General Directorate on Gaming (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ)), the R. Franco Group has decided to enter the online industry and has applied for the corresponding licences by way of the R. Franco Digital company. R. Franco Digital will apply for two general licences: a) bets and, more specifically, sports betting; and b) other games: slots, roulette, blackjack and baccarat.


ICE set to become Germany's international trade show


UK The cancellation of the IMA trade show, scheduled to take place in Düsseldorf in January 2015, will effectively make London's ICE Totally Gaming the German industry's 'international trade show' according to Lars Rogge, Managing Director of Bally Wulff, one of the principal German machine manufacturers. "I would expect there to be at least 300 of the most important German operators visiting London for the show," he said. "For us – and our fellow machine-makers in Germany – ICE will therefore become our principal interna- tional showcase. We will feature
