The grand finale took place in a single three- minute round, with Ron Goudsmit, Chairman of the ECA, wishing the best of luck to the finalists. The 12 players competed not only for the title of the European champion, but also for a wonder- ful trip to Las Vegas.
At the end of the three minute competition, Spaniard Josè S. won the title, dominating the final competition with a score of over one mil- lion points (the only player to achieve such a score), which was more than 200,000 points ahead of the runner-up, Tatjana G from Poland. Third place went to the Hungarian, Marton.
The winner, having qualified at his local Barcelona casino, was especially excited at the time of the awards ceremony, claiming a victory that he definitely won't forget.

As part of the ESC (European Slot Championship), slot machines have been the focal point of a compeition that seeks to pro- mote their positive values, such as fun, competi- tion, communal play and entertainment value.
Partners in the operation include the European Casino Association and IGT, who both con- firmed their support for ESC 2015. This future event is set to see an even wider participation
base if certain countries (such as France) man- age - as it would seem - to get the green light for the organisation of slot tournaments from their respective gaming boards.
“The European Slot Championship has finally bought the thrill and excitement of major slot tournaments to Europe.’ Commented Sabby Gill, Senior Vice President International Sales at IGT. ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for operators throughout the region to drive new demand to their slot floors and showcase a more dynamic and engaging side of slots. We’re thrilled to be involved with the championship from the outset and are looking forward to a bigger and more exciting tournament next year.”
The European Slot Championship was one of the case studies presented at the most recent Lille Slot Summit, the event managed by Clarion and now considered a European benchmark for the training of slot management executives. The Speaker, Carlo Pagan, is behind the concept of the European Slot Championship.
